This counselling service offers a supportive and safe space for personal growth, healing, and self-expression. Using a blend of creative and evidence-based techniques, these sessions help you explore and understand your emotions and experiences from multiple angles. The approach is trauma-informed, prioritizing your comfort and well-being throughout our work together.

By integrating creative activities—such as art, music, writing, and movement—with thoughtful conversation, you can access insights and healing that go beyond words alone. Whether you prefer engaging in creative expression, talking through your thoughts, or a combination of both, the sessions are tailored to meet your unique needs. No previous artistic experience is needed—just an openness to explore and grow in a safe, empowering environment.

Sara is a bilingual counseling therapist with over 15 years of experience as an educator and wellness facilitator. Fluent in English and French, she is passionate about lifelong learning and dedicated to promoting health and wellness through the arts.

She holds a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling specializing in Expressive Arts Therapy from Lesley University. Sara’s expertise includes certifications in Visual Arts Education, specialized training in dance for older adults (including those with dementia and Parkinson’s), and advanced training in grief, death, and dying—with a focus on supporting children through these difficult topics. As a Certified Yoga Teacher, she specializes in pre- and post-natal yoga and yoga life coaching, and also holds a Diploma in Holistic Nutritional Consulting.

Combining her training in Expressive Arts Therapy with additional skills in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and trauma-informed approaches, Sara creates a safe, supportive space for healing and growth. Alongside her therapy practice, she freelances as a content creator, arts and mindfulness facilitator, coach, and consultant. She actively advocates for dance and arts integration across all ages and abilities, especially in public schools, and frequently offers professional development sessions for educators.

Sara lives in Middleton, Nova Scotia with her husband and two children, where she continues to nurture her passion for helping others through creative expression and holistic wellness.
